At Symatrix we have built a high calibre team focused on delivering operational, application and technical expertise to our clients. Our team combines many years of operational experience in Human Capital Management with extensive expertise in Human Resource Management System.

Our management team comprises of:

Paul Gillott - Managing Director

Paul has over 30 years experience in the IT industry in which he has helped develop many successful businesses including being part of the management team that brought PC World to market.

Paul was responsible for establishing the UK arm of Arinso, a major global HR Management business, which was later sold to Northgate.

Leveraging the experience gained at Arinso, Paul founded Symatrix in 1999 with the specific focus of providing services and expertise to organisations looking to implement and leverage Oracle HCM. Over the past decade Paul has built a highly skilled team at Symatrix which is now the largest dedicated Oracle HCM practice in the UK.

John Brownhill - Commercial Director

John joined Symatrix in September 2004 from the Oracle Corporation where he headed up the Human Capital Division and was Applications Solutions Director. He was responsible for building a sales structure which enabled Oracle to significantly grow its market presence and achieve its market leading position within the UK. John has a breadth of commercial experience within this market sector and has been involved in more than 300 projects ranging from small businesses to the largest world-wide employers.

In his role as Commercial Director, John has created a very experienced Sales and Marketing function which has generated significant new business across Consulting, Education, Managed Services and Software Sales. John is passionate about maintaining Symatrix’s market leading position through positive customer experiences and references and regularly attends customer forums and project steering groups.

Nick Pike - Director

Nick joined Symatrix as an Executive Director in 2007 following seven years as a Non-Executive Director. Nick was previously Managing Director of Rose Bowl plc and Hampshire Cricket Ltd where he still holds a Non-Executive role. He also holds a similar position for an independent lease finance business.

Prior to this Nick was a Vice President at Dell and was an integral part of the Executive Team fulfilling roles such as Managing Director Central Europe, UK Managing Director and Head of Global Business. Prior to Dell, Nick worked for The Xerox Corporation where he held various sales and central marketing management positions.

Nick brings extensive experience of directing businesses to Symatrix. He offers strategic guidance on long term business planning, managing growth and new business stream development.

Kevin Gardiner - Operations Manager

Kevin joined Symatrix in March 2005 from Norwich Union Aviva where he was responsible for programme managing the UK group-wide implementation of Oracle HRMS. Prior to that, Kevin was responsible for creating the HR Shared Services Contact Centre for Cable & Wireless.

As Operations Manager, Kevin is responsible for project delivery ensuring that we meet quality expectations and deliver on time and to budget.

Chris Brooks - Head of Managed Services

Chris joined Symatrix as an Account Manager in 2008. Prior to this he managed a sales team at Snowdrop Systems, led an award winning team of customer support champions at Hewlett Packard and was part of the Cap Gemini team responsible for the smooth transition of services during the British Steel IT outsourcing project.

Chris took on the Head of Managed Services role in July 2010 and is responsible for the management and development of the Managed Services division, focusing on quality of service, positive customer experience and strategic growth.
