AEGON’s family of businesses in the UK offers pensions, protection, investment and advice. As part of the AEGON Group, one of the world’s largest life insurance and pensions companies, AEGON UK aims to help people and companies build better financial futures by developing innovative and practical solutions that meet their changing needs.
AEGON was looking to transform the role that HR played in its organisation and the HR services provided to the business. A key requirement in doing this is to provide managers with up-to-date HR information around their staff and enable HR transactions to take place at the manager and employee level.
AEGON recognised that it required a modern HR system that could enable it to transform and enhance the service capabilities of its HR function. It selected Oracle HR and Payroll from Symatrix to provide a single integrated HR platform along with HR Self-Service to deliver real-time information and services to managers across the country.
The solution was implemented using the Symatrix SIMPLY approach. This leverages the experience that Symatrix has gained from over 200 implementations to provide AEGON with a quick start to its deployment with a set of ready-made forms, process flows and reports that can then be tailored to meet AEGON’s specific needs.
As the project developed, AEGON implemented Oracle Compensation Workbench and Learning Management to extend the depth of information available to managers and to seamlessly flow HR processes across the entire business.
This project is delivered as a full managed service solution with Symatrix hosting AEGON’s HCM (Human Capital Management) system and associated database and providing a full support service covering platform, database and application.
