Del Harrison, Oracle Payroll Consultant

I have been working in the payroll industry for almost 45 years, 25 of those on Oracle Payroll, so I have seen a number of changes in payroll legislation and working practices in that time. I joined Symatrix as an Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant having had a background of implementing and supporting Oracle Payroll on E-Business, gaining most of my skills working for Oracle Corporation itself.

I currently live in Carshalton in Surrey with my partner of 20 years and our diva chihuahua, Queenie Woof Woof, (her choice of name you understand.) Queenie has been a bit of a celebrity in the dog world, appearing in national newspapers and attending Crufts as a VIP, (that’s a Very Important Pooch). Just google her name and you can read all about her.

So, apart from pampering to the dog’s demands, my main leisure activity is golf. I play in a golf society with old friends I have known for over 40 years. I also enjoy going to live Rock gigs. Together, my partner and I enjoy eating out, taking city breaks as much as we can and visiting garden shows, antique fairs etc.

Whilst working for Oracle I came across Symatrix from it’s inception in 2000, who was the only consultancy that specialised solely in Oracle HCM and Payroll. A number of my colleagues from Oracle joined Symatrix in the early days and the feedback has always been good. I have only been here a short time but already feel part of a great team and appreciate the opportunity to be part of a progressive expanding company.
