Leading retail and consumer finance company, Buy As You View offers its customers a personal, convenient and manageable way to finance and plan purchases of electrical and household goods. The company’s aim at all times is to trade profitably, to support the growth of the business without ever compromising its first class customer service standards or commitment to its employees.
Formed in 1972, the company initially operated out of a single Rhondda Valley shop (in the Welsh Valleys). Buy As You View now have a 500 strong sales and collections team operating in Yorkshire, the Midlands, the North West of England, the North East and Scotland and offer their customers a range of products including TV’s and Home Entertainment, Laundry Appliances, Refrigerators, Cookers and Furniture.
The Challenge
Buy As You View wanted to move away from their legacy SAGE application that provided separate HR and Payroll functionality to a single platform that could support their growing business.
They were looking to gain efficiencies from an integrated HR and Payroll system and to leverage a modern platform to improve and streamline HR processes.
The Solution
They selected Oracle HRMS as it supported their already established Oracle strategy and offered them a robust and modern HR platform on which they could grow.
By implementing a single core HR and Payroll system, they instantly gained the benefits of a fully integrated solution reducing the need to maintain and manage information across two disparate systems.
Symatrix has helped them implement the core system components as well as the introduction of Oracle Self-Service HR. This has enabled them to support a geographically dispersed operation and provide managers with the information they need, at their fingertips, to manage their teams. Oracle Self-Service has also enabled them to significantly reduce the administrative overhead of their HR department with both employees and managers being able to access and maintain key information.
Buy As You View are also utilising application support from Symatrix to assist their HR team, managers and users in the use of Oracle HR and to continually maximise their investment.
