The Challenge

Mizuho Corporate Bank (Mizuho) was utilising Oracle as their corporate HCM (Human Capital Management) platform and looking to gain efficiencies through the use of Self-Service HR. However, managing absence and approving holiday requests was proving challenging to Mizuho managers.

The Solution

Mizuho implemented the Symatrix Absence Calendar, implemented with their Oracle Self-Service HR application, to assist with the processing and approval of holiday requests for employees.

With the Symatrix Absence Calendar, managers can now access a consolidated visual view of their teams and the availability of employees. This enables them to quickly review staff levels for any period of time, review historic absence and support them in making the decision as to whether or not to approve holiday requests.
